Biology Requirement History

Current Biology Course Requirement:
Zoology 153 - Introductory Biology
Intermediate Biology: Biochemistry 501 - Introduction to Biochemistry, Genetics 466 - General Genetics, or Zoology 570 - Cellular Biology

All students beginning their Chemical Engineering degrees in January 2004 or later must satisfy the 2004 Curriculum, in which these courses replaced the Advanced Chemistry Elective and the Chemistry Laboratory Elective from the prior curriculum.

2004 Biology Course Requirement:
Biochemistry 501 - Introduction to Biochemistry
Zoology 570 - Cellular Biology

This curriculum change was developed by an ad hoc committee consisting of Profs. Nick Abbott, Regina Murphy, Sean Palecek, Eric Shusta, and John Yin at the request of the faculty.
