Physics Instruction Dissatisfaction

Feedback from our graduating seniors, collected using the EBI Survey, has consistently shown that they are extremely dissatisfied with the Freshman Physics courses.  This problem is observed across the College of Engineering, and has been discussed by several standing committees.  The Academic Programs, Curriculum, and Records Committee (APCRC) has designated a subcommittee to work with the Physics Department to investigate the reasons for this dissatisfaction among the undergraduates.  This subcommittee contains Prof. Bob Witt (NEEP) and Prof. Dan Klingenberg (CBE), among others.  Prof. Klingenberg has been active in their efforts, and has reported regularly to faculty meetings on their progress with this issue.
